Mission Statement

All Saints Family Medicine Residency Program’s ongoing mission is to offer opportunities, instruction, and guidance to instill in our graduates the mastery of progressive delivery systems and a caring philosophy in order to serve the communities in which they live and work.

Care In The Home

Extending medical care into patient homes gives family medicine physicians a unique opportunity to interact with their patients. Patients appreciate the convenience of the visit while the doctors learn more about the patient’s home and family environment. In addition to faculty and resident home visits, nursing, social service providers and therapist are available.

These are a few of the experiences available for residents:

• Prenatal and Family Care Coordination (for pregnant patients and their family until the,
child reaches 1 year)
• Community Care for the Elderly (Partnership program for indigent elderly to provide comprehensive care)
• Home visits with faculty or nurse
• Outreach to at risk mothers through our Stork Nest program


Care In The Community

Community responsive – health care and service to the community are important parts of patient care and resident education at All Saints Family Medicine Residency Program. Our community medicine program is thriving and successful. With the recent addition of a full-time community nurse, our award winning community medicine program will continue to grow. As part of your residency curriculum, you will have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to its ongoing success.

Community medicine programs include:

Ascension St. Joseph Hospital

Ascension St. Joseph Regional Medical Center is an acute tertiary care center for southeastern Wisconsin. St Joseph is a teaching hospital and a member of Ascension. St Joseph is recognized throughout southeastern Wisconsin for its clinical excellence in women’s and family health care including obstetrical and neonatology care as well as cardiac, cancer and rehabilitation services.

St. Joe’s is the second largest private hospital in Milwaukee. The hospital is licensed for 595 beds, operating 454 adult/pediatric, 28 sub-acute, 49 nursery and 64 NICU beds. Its emergency services operate on a 24-hour basis.

Ascension All Saints Family Health Center

The hub of our residency program is our Ascension All Saints Family Health Center, which is recognized by the NCQA as a Patient Centered Medical Home. Newly remodeled and expanded, our state of the art facility has 32 exam rooms, 3 procedure rooms, dedicated resident offices with personal computers, a library and conference rooms.

A busy and financially successful practice, our patients are diverse in age, race, sex and socioeconomic status. An on-site dietician, asthma and diabetic educator, community nurse, clinical psychologist and prenatal care coordinators are active members of our health care team.

Unique learning opportunities include:

• Fully implemented, award winning electronic medical records.
• Quality improvement projects in diabetes, maternity care, childhood immunizations
and preventive medicine
• On site smoking cessation, healthy living, and mom and baby classes
• Osteopathic manipulation room with permanent manipulation table
