The Challenges And Rewards Of Caring For Refugees

We work with refugees from many countries, and they arrive with so little. Many have been in refugee camps, in some cases for many years. We have had a tremendous influx of Afghan refugees over the past few months. We do health screenings for the families after they’ve spent months on various military bases, and it has been challenging to keep up with demand.

Our new greenhouse is growing our ability to bring fresh produce to our community.

The new greenhouse is allowing us to grow even more fresh produce from seed. This year we began many of our plants from seed, and we are planting the seedlings from the greenhouse into our garden.
